Qiandao Lake is located in Chun’an County, Zhejiang Province. Constructed in 1959, it is home to China’s first large-scale hydropower station—Xin’anjiang Hydropower Station—which was entirely designed and built using domestically produced equipment. The artificial lake created by the dam serves as a Class-I national water body. Qiandao Lake Scenic Area is not only one of China’s most renowned lake destinations but also one of the country’s premier training bases for canoeing and rowing. With a thousand islands scattered across its waters, Qiandao Lake offers a thousand unique ways for visitors to experience its beauty: cycling around the lake, soaring above the clouds, immersing oneself in romantic flower fields, cruising on a luxury yacht, trying go-karting, or enjoying a water park—its diverse offerings and endless recreational opportunities ensure there’s always something new to discover. Some vistas leave such a lasting impression that even before you’ve fully taken them in, you’re already longing to return.
On May 31, a group of colleagues from Heyou Bio, brimming with eager anticipation for the famed big fish heads of Qiandao Lake, made a grand arrival at this much-loved destination, officially kicking off their three-day, two-night team-building retreat.
The next morning, a gentle drizzle continued unabated, forcing yet another cancellation of the scheduled lake-loop cycling tour. The entire Qiandao Lake was shrouded in a majestic curtain of rain, and as we opened the window, a breathtaking vista unfolded: water and sky merged into one, with the forest serving as a natural oxygen bar. Even so, the group’s enthusiasm remained undiminished; under the guidance of our instructors, everyone enthusiastically embarked on an exhilarating team-building activity! In the morning, we enjoyed Qiandao Lake’s renowned kayaking experience.

Summer Outing
The afternoon was dedicated to a friendly Frisbee carnival that put our team’s collaborative skills to the test. Our adorable teammates whipped up a series of hilarious five-shot photo sequences, and to boost morale, each captain came up with a unique team name—innovation truly knows no bounds, and that’s what makes youth so cool! Every task and challenge our teammates tackled required mutual trust, seamless collaboration, and unwavering support from one another, as well as a deep sense of collective pride. Only by standing united and working wholeheartedly together can we summon the courage and confidence to face whatever obstacles may lie ahead. Pessimists may be right; optimists keep moving forward. Winter may be a crisis, but it also holds the promise of rebirth and renewal.
The highlight of the evening has arrived: the long-awaited buffet barbecue and bonfire party. Music, a blue sky, white clouds, a grassy lawn, and skewers of lamb—what more could one ask for! To liven up the festivities, General Manager Zhou and his friends even bit the bullet and performed a pole dance themselves (the sight was so beautiful we’ll spare you the details)!
Happy moments always seem to fly by—our three-day, two-night team-building retreat at Qiandao Lake has now come to a successful close! Moving forward, let’s continue to ride the waves and forge ahead with determination!
