Themed Salon | Antibody Discovery: The First Step in Developing Novel Antibody Drugs
Introduction to the Themed Salon
Antibody drugs currently represent the fastest-growing segment within the biopharmaceutical industry and are a major focus of global drug research and development. The rapid advancement of antibody therapeutics is driven by technological innovations, such as: Various display technologies, transgenic humanized animals, single-cell PCR, and single-cell sequencing Wait.
The first session, hosted by Shanghai Heyan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and co-organized by Shanghai Municipal School of Pharmacy, Shanghai Heyou Sheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., and the Pharmaceutical Source Research & Development Workshop, is free of charge. Thematic Salon—Antibody Discovery: The First Step in Developing Novel Antibody Therapeutics The event will be held in Shanghai on the afternoon of September 16, 2023. Industry professionals and R&D colleagues in the fields of antibody discovery and new drug development are warmly invited to register and participate, so that we can jointly explore the research and development of antibody therapeutics.

Chen Zhou
Founder & CEO
DDBio Co., Ltd.
Dr. Chen Zhou, Ph.D., is the Co-founder and CEO of DDBio Co., Ltd. Prior to founding DDBio, Dr. Zhou served as the CEO of Biomissile Biotech Co., Ltd. Before that, he was a scientist in Amgen’s Protein Science Group, where he played a key role in the development of mammalian display technology. Over the past 18+ years, Dr. Zhou has focused on the development and application of dual-display (phage–mammalian display) technology for the discovery of antibody therapeutics. Using this technology, he has identified high-affinity, single-digit pM neutralizing antibodies from antibody display libraries.
Li Shenghua
Chief Scientist, NuAnBo Biotechnology
Currently serves as Chief Scientist at Beijing NewAnbo Biotechnology Co., Ltd. Previously held positions as Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Life and Health Sciences, Wuhan University of Science and Technology; Director of the Department of Biomedical Engineering; and Director of the Antibody Engineering Research Center. Among the world’s earliest researchers in single-domain (nanobody) antibodies, he was also one of the first to assist the High-Tech Industry Division of the National Development and Reform Commission and the Chinese Society for Biological Engineering in introducing and promoting nanobody technology within China. Over many years, he has conducted research on major biomedical projects and products at top research institutions both domestically and internationally, with some of his findings licensed to pharmaceutical companies and several diagnostic products now marketed in China. In the field of biopharmaceutical applications of single-domain antibodies, he has maintained long-term collaborative research partnerships with the Institute of Microbiology and the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Research Institute of Peking University Cancer Hospital, the School of Pharmacy at Fudan University in Shanghai, as well as renowned domestic and international companies specializing in biologics, radiopharmaceuticals, and chemical drugs. Several of his pharmaceutical R&D achievements have already entered Phase I and Phase II clinical trials. He holds dozens of invention patents related to single-domain antibodies.
